Reading Language Arts
● Recognize and generate rhyming words.
● Blend sounds (onset and rime) to form words.
● Segment spoken words into individual sounds (phonemes).
● Identify and produce the initial, medial, and final sounds in spoken words.
● Phonics and Word Recognition
○ Identify and name all uppercase and lowercase letters.
○ Recognize and produce the sounds associated with each letter.
○ Blend letter sounds to form simple CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, such as
"cat," "dog".
○ Recognize and read simple sight words (e.g., the, and, is, it).
● Fluency
○ Read simple words and phrases fluently and with accuracy.
○ Use knowledge of sounds and letters to decode new words.
● Vocabulary
○ Learn and use new words heard and seen in stories and daily activities.
○ Use context to understand the meaning of new words.
● Comprehension
○ Listen to stories and identify key details (e.g., who, what, where).
○ Answer simple questions about a story, such as identifying the main character and
setting.
Math
● Count to 100 by ones and tens.
● Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities.

● Understand addition and subtraction as joining and separating.
● Solve simple addition and subtraction.
● Understand the value of numbers (tens, and ones).
● Describe and compare measurable attributes (e.g., length, weight, volume).
● Organize, represent, and interpret data with graphs.
● Identify and describe shapes (e.g., circles, squares, triangles).
● Analyze and compare objects based on their attributes.
Science
● Observe and describe features of weather and temperature.
● Recognize plants and animals.
● Observe and describe material (wood, metal, fabric).
● Ask, question, observe, conclude.
Social Studies
● Identify the people in your community (fire, police, postal etc.)
● Understand the past and present.
● Learn rules and why we need them.
